All reservations should be sent directly to our reservation department via email or fax and acknowledge of receipt will be provided.

| All reservations should be come with |
- Client’s name
- Car Category
- Date, Place, pick up & Return time.
- If the pick up place is at the airport, please notify which International Airport (Juan Santa Maria or Liberia)

| Rental Period |
- A rental day is 24hrs period from the time of pick up.
|
| Driver´s License |
- All drivers must meet the locations minimum age requirements and have a current and valid driver’s license from country of residence.
- Must have a valid international driver’s license if it or origin is not in Roman alphabet.

| Additional Drivers |
- Must present a current and valid driver license from country of residence. Additional fee of $5 per person per day will be charged.
|
| AGE: |
- All drivers from 21 to 70 years old are eligible to rent a car.
- Minimum age may be subject to a young driver fee of $8 per person per day.(18-20 years)
|
| Pick Up and Drop Off |
- Pick ups & Returns are allowed under business operating hours according to the offices area.
- Free airport shuttle pick up service from both International Airports ( Juan Santa Maria & Daniel Oduber’s Liberia Airport)
- Drop off fees may be applicable. Drop off fee depends on the place customers would like to return the car.

| Rates: |
- Base rate does not include surcharges
- Base rate does not include taxes, if applicable.
- Extra day rate applies after 7 days of rental or after 3 hours of delaying return.
- Charges associated with the base rate are those which are applicable at time of booking and could be subject to change. Only those charges listed as mandatory are included in the total rate for the displayed rental.
- No refunds will be given for early drop-off.
- Certain conditional charges may apply to your rental. These charges are not included in the total price.
- Charges for optional services are not included. These services could be purchase at time of rental.

| Payment Options |
- Renter must present a major credit card in their own name.
- Valid Credit Cards: American Express, Visa, Master Card, Diners Club and others.( Present it at time of rental)
- Debit cards are accepted.
- No cash rentals deposit allowed.
- Only cash rentals payment at the time of return.
- No refunds will be given for early drop off.

| Deposits |
- Charge card hold is requested
- No cash rentals deposit allowed.
- Major credit card is required at the time of rental to take a security deposit.
- Deposit depends on the car type, rental period and insurance details; it requests a deposit of guarantee that starts from $950 up to $2500 depending on the chosen car reserved.

| Geographic Restrictions: |
- Cars are not allowed to be taken outside the country
|
| Additional Taxes: |
- Save up to 12 % percent airport fee charge. No airport taxes surcharges
- License plate fee of $0.99 per day would be applied on all rented vehicles.
- Car Wash fee of $8 would be applied once on all rented vehicles.

| Fuel: |
- Rental vehicles are to be returned with the same amount of fuel provided at the time of rental.
- There will be a charge for returning the vehicles with less amount of fuel than provided to the customer at the beginning of rental unless the customer takes our prepaid gas options which are similar to local fuel options.
- Refueling prices may go from $43 up to $86 depending on the chosen vehicle and may be subject to changes without any notice according to the current price of fuel per litter in Costa Rica.

| PROTECTIONS AND COVERAGE: |
CDW: |
This protection covers the rented/damaged vehicle as a result of a collision; it requires a deposit of guarantee which goes from $950 up to $2500USD, amount that changes depending on the chosen type of vehicle. You may waive this protection by paying with Amex, Visa or Master Card, to do it so, a current bank or brand document certifying your credit card's coverage is required.
*This protection does not include damages to accessories such as: tires, radio, antenna and windshield.

TPL / LDW: |
This mandatory protection provides the renter or any additional authorized drivers listed in the rental agreement with automobile liability coverage against third party claims for bodily injury, including death, and 80% of property damage resulting from an automobile accident during the rental period. The client is responsible for the 20% deductible.

FTPL: |
This protection relieves the renter of the 20% deductible in case of third party claims to property damages. To apply this coverage the customer has to purchase TPL as a condition of rental. |
ZDI: |
For your security and comfort, Poas Rent a Car offers this protection which covers damage to the car as a result of a collision with other objects. A guarantee deposit is necessary in case of negligence as a guarantee for the rental. To apply this coverage the customer has to purchase CDW and TPL as a condition of rental. |
API: |
This protection covers the accessories not covered by the ZDI (tires, rims, antennas, windshield and lateral windows missing or damages, and radio system robbery and tools). To apply this coverage the customer has to purchase CDW and TPL as a condition of rental. |
**TPL and LPF: |
Are required in a mandatory way because they entitle the customer by law to drive along the country and this is why they cannot be declined under any circumstance. |

| Negligence Acts, any of the above insurances will not covers if customer: |
- Drives the vehicle across rivers, streams, beaches, lakes and not allowed places to get with the car.
- Drives under the influence of drugs and liquor.
- Leaving the keys in the ignition with the vehicle unattended.
- Falling asleep while driving, disrespecting traffic signals and officers or other negligent/irresponsible actions.
- If an event of accident, the person that it’s driving the car is neither unauthorized nor registered in the contract.
- If the car has been used for any race & competition or public transportation.
- If the car is taken out of the national territory/borders.
- If the client gets involved in to a car accident and doesn’t wait for the police and insurance company report (INS) to get done.

| No show and cancellations |
- No refunds will be given for early drop off.
- Any changes or cancellations must be made at least 72 hours before scheduled pick up time to avoid penalties
- Cancellation Notice received 72 hours before scheduled pick up time – No charge.
- Cancellation Notice received 48-24 hours before scheduled pick up time or No show – One day charge or No show fee of $25.
- No shows will be deemed as cancellations and will be billed according to the above cancellation policy.
